TÜLİN TANER is a full-time Professor in Department of Orthodontics Faculty of Dentistry, Hacettepe University. She had her PhD degree in Orthodontics. She worked as a Board member in Turkish Orthodontic Society between 1996-1998 and 2000-2002 years. She acted as a member of the Faculty Board between 2004-2007 years and as a member of the Faculty Boardof Directors between 2009-2018. She acted as a Vice Dean between years 2012-2016. She was the Education and Bologna Coordinator of the Faculty between 2012-2016. She adopted the Bologna changes to the curriculum of the faculty dentistry program, coordinated the design and integration of elective courses, established and coordinated the Faculty Question Bank project.She played an active role in quality assurance studies of the faculty, preparation of self- assessment document, coordination of a school visitation by Association of Dental Education in Europe. She served as a Commission Member of Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit of Hacettepe University (BAP) between 2014-2019. She was the Head of the National Dentistry Education Programs Accreditation Board (UDEPAK) between 2019-2021. She has been working as the Chair of the Orthodontics Department since 2012. She is the editor of theTurkish translations of the books ‘Clinical Success in Early Orthodontic Treatment’ and ‘The Vertical Dimension in Prosthesis and Orthognathodontics’ respectively, has 5 book chapters, published 90 articles published in local and international journals, 119 lectures presented in international and national congresses and symposiums, 638 citations, 27 conferences as aninvited speaker. Her special interest areas are Adult Orthodontics and Obstructive Sleep Apnea Treatments. She has been appointed dean of Faculty of Dentistry Hacettepe University beginning on June 21, 2021 for a three- year term. She was elected as a member of the Executive Board of the Council of Deans of Dentistry Faculties in Turkey (DDK) on September 25, 2021.
